Our Score
In our opinion, the Conservatorium is one of the most beautiful and impressive hotels in Amsterdam; It is located in the former building previously occupied by the city’s Sweelinck Music Conservatorium which was also, originally built as the Rijkspostspaar bank at the end of the 19th century; the building was conceived by the renowned Dutch architect Daniel Knuttel, reputed for his his ability to fuse simplicity and functionality. In addition, this hotel has been awarded on numerous occasions as the best of the luxury hotels in the Netherlands.

The hotel’s interior design was delegated to the award-winning Italian interior designer Piero Lissoni, who modernised the Art Noveau style by merging it with the simplistic lines proposed by its creator.

The Conservatorium Hotel defines itself as your second home in Amsterdam and we completely agree as you feel from the very first second that the aim of the hotel staff is to make the visit as relaxing and enjoyable as possible. And they must be doing something right, when they have become the reason why so many guests keep coming back to the capital year after year.

The location of the hotel could not be better, as it is found in the famous Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier), one of the main neighbourhoods to visit in this attractive city.

Leaving the exteriors aside, the Conservatorium Hotel offers an infinity of proposals that will not leave any guest indifferent. Beginning with its varied and ample offer of spacious rooms, which manage to capture all kinds of customers who want to enjoy a quick or long stay in Amsterdam, and followed by their offer of rest and relaxation through a splendid spa from which you do not want to leave.

In the Conservatorium Hotel you will be able to find various sorts of restaurants and cuisine such as the Taiko, a recognized and award-winning Asian-inspired restaurant which has become one of the most exclusive spots in Amsterdam. It is directed by Schilo Van Coevorden who manages to combine beauty, flavour, and texture in each one of his creations.

Another of our favourites is the Brasserie and Lounge, located in a beautiful glass inner courtyard with spectacular windows ranging from floor to ceiling, where you will find yourself tasting the most the most contemporary classics during the day.

Undoubtedly the hotel has become an experience to repeat once and a thousand times, which you would never get tired of.
